Who is Dr Nic ?      

Dr Nic qualified as a Veterinarian with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science in 1971. He studied at the world-renowned Veterinary Institute at Onderstepoort in Pretoria, South Africa and has since completed his honours degree.

Dr  Nic has been practising for nearly 37 years in Benoni, a town just outside Johannesburg. He is trusted and loved by his "patients" and their owners. Since 1990 he has developed a breeding program in which he specialises in the breeding of top quality dogs, as pets for discerning and concerned people - for people who are looking to improve the quality of their lives by having a pet to care for and to love them in return. 

Dr Nic specialises in the breeding of Bulldogs. Petnic Pups is a Vet run family oriented kennel. Here are some of the reasons why the English Bulldog has become one of the most popular breeds of dogs in the world: This awkward, oddly built beast with its enormous wrinkled head and distorted face was obviously never bred for beauty and symmetry. Despite its 'forbidding aspect', this compact, muscular, low-slung, athlete has attracted a host of admirers who consider it the most distinguished of all canines. Today, Bulldog owners praise the dog's loyalty, reliability and gentleness. Bulldogs are remarkably sweet-tempered animals. Dr Nic has been married for 37 years now and his wife, Monica is a qualified High School Teacher, who helps in the smooth running of the breeding program. She is also a very busy homemaker, as the two have a family of 7 children, 3 of whom still live at home, and vary in age from 24 to 33.. The family has several pets and are very convinced of the important role that pets/animals play in human development and relationships.
