Health and Socialization     

Our pups are ‘ready to go’ at the age of 10 weeks, by which time they have been through a socialization course run by a qualified ethologist and have been vaccinated against Distemper, Canine hepatitis, Para-influenza, Bordatella, Canine Parvo-virus, Corona virus and Leptospirosis. 

The pups possess a natural / passive immunity to rabies from their mothers until 12 weeks, at which age they need to go for a ‘rabies shot’ and boosters for the aforementioned diseases. The pups are also free of exo-parasites and endo-parasites, so are worm and flea free. The diet of our pups is strictly monitored from birth. 

Natural mother’s milk is the only form of nutrition up to 3.5 weeks of age, followed by the careful, controlled introduction of top quality puppy nutrition. Veterinary brands such as Hills Science Plan, Eukanuba & Royal Canin are the most popular choice.

The diet is monitored closely by Dr Nic who is personally convinced of the great importance of a proper diet for growth and health. Dr Nic

advises his prospective buyers to continue the use of “good” veterinary diets.                  In the possible event of Bulldog pups falling prey to the syndrome of “Cherry Eye” or prolapse of the Harderian Gland, which is very common in Bulldogs, Dr Nic will provide unlimited advice and support on how to deal with it. Following treatment, this condition will not cause any damage to eye functions. Dr Nic is convinced of the importance of Ethology (socialization of animals to animals and to humans) and has a qualified ethologist on call to assist in his puppy socialization program.
